How much does it cost to rent a car for Uber in Fort Lauderdale?
Our rates start at $250 per week or $800 per month, and that price includes rideshare insurance, maintenance and unlimited miles. There is no deposit and no hidden fee added at pickup. Larger vehicles like the Chevrolet Malibu run $275 per week.
Can I use a rental car for Uber and Lyft?
Yes. Every car in our fleet is registered and insured for rideshare use in Florida and meets Uber and Lyft vehicle requirements. We add the vehicle to your driver profile so you can go online the same day you pick it up.
Do I need my own insurance?
No. Commercial rideshare insurance is included in your weekly rate. You don't need to buy a separate policy and you won't be asked to add coverage when you arrive.
Do you run a credit check or a background check?
We don't run a credit check at all. We also don't run our own background check — if Uber or Lyft has already approved you to drive, that approval is what we go on. Bring a valid license and your driver account and you're set.
Can I drive DoorDash, Uber Eats or Instacart with the car?
Yes, and most of our drivers run several apps on one car. Deliveries during slow rideshare hours are the fastest way to cover your weekly rate. There's no mileage limit, so stacking apps costs you nothing extra.
What cars qualify for Uber in Florida?
UberX in Florida requires a four-door vehicle that seats at least four passengers, is generally 15 years old or newer, has no cosmetic damage and passes a vehicle inspection. Uber Comfort adds a legroom and vehicle-age requirement. Every car we rent already meets these standards.
Is there a mileage limit?
No. Miles are unlimited on every rental, weekly or monthly. You'll never see a per-mile charge on your invoice.
What happens if the car breaks down?
Maintenance and repairs are our responsibility. Call us and we'll get you into another vehicle so you don't lose earning days. Oil changes, tires and brakes are all covered in your rate.
